MyVideoCompressor was built with privacy as a fundamental design principle. Your video files never leave your computer. We do not upload, scan, or analyze your media files. All compression is performed locally on your machine using FFmpeg.

2. What Information We Collect

While we do not collect any video data, we do collect minimal necessary data to manage licensing and app functionality:

• Hardware Identifier: A non-reversible hash of your hardware components is generated locally and sent to our servers solely for the purpose of preventing license abuse and enforcing the trial period. This hash cannot be used to identify you personally.
• License Keys: When you purchase the software, your payment provider (e.g., Razorpay, Gumroad) collects your billing information. We only receive your email address and license key to verify your purchase.

3. How We Use Your Information

The information collected is used strictly for:

• Verifying your lifetime license or trial status upon app launch.
• Preventing unauthorized distribution or piracy of the software.
• Providing customer support regarding license issues.

4. Analytics and Tracking

The desktop application does not contain any analytics, crash reporting tools, or telemetry trackers. We believe in keeping the app lightweight and your activity private.

Our website and licensing infrastructure rely on trusted third parties:

• Cloudflare: For hosting this website and routing license verification requests securely.
• Payment Processors: Razorpay or Gumroad handle all payment processing. We never see or store your credit card information.
