1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the MyVideoCompressor desktop application ("Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Software.

2. License Grant & Hardware Binding

Upon purchasing a lifetime license, Smart Infotech grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Software. Your license is hardware-bound to a single computer. The Software generates a unique, anonymous hardware identifier (System ID) to enforce licensing and prevent piracy. This System ID is securely tied to your license key. The free trial grants you a limited, 7-day license for evaluation purposes on a single machine.

3. Restrictions

You may not: (a) modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software; (b) rent, lease, lend, sell, redistribute, or sublicense the Software; or (c) use the Software for any unlawful purpose.

4. FFmpeg Usage

This Software utilizes FFmpeg binaries for video processing. FFmpeg is licensed under the GNU LGPL v2.1. The FFmpeg binaries are not owned by us, and their source code can be downloaded from the official FFmpeg website in accordance with their license terms.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Software is provided "AS IS" without any warranties, express or implied. Smart Infotech does not warrant that the Software will be error-free or uninterrupted. You use the Software at your own risk.

6. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Smart Infotech be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of business, or loss of profits arising out of the use or inability to use the Software.

7. Refund Policy

We offer a 7-day fully functional free trial so you can evaluate the Software before purchasing. Due to the nature of digital goods and the lifetime license model, all sales are final once a license key has been issued, unless otherwise required by law.
